However, I think we underestimate the power of the elite to close ranks and get the facts suppressed by pulling rank (and wires) with the establishment censors who control what gets into the media.

Very true James....there are possibly several signs of this happening already with certain media sites closed for further comment/discussion etc etc

It now appears that a case of mistaken identity is asserted by one of the politicians alluded to in the media. This man will sue everyone in sight, and if he's innocent, so he should. (Note that the reported victim has withdrawn his allegations.) This is the beginning of a big climb down as the media folk try to cover their backs. Journalists will not be keen to investigate the extent of the abuse scandal if an action for massive damages is looming in a very high profile case.How this will affect the Savile scandal is anyone's guess.
