It's a kind of double bluff really....... no one would believe someone capable of such depravity would actually boast about it, therefore they just dismissed it as Jim been the regular joker he portrayed.Meanwhile...It's emerged the Ripper squad did take an interest in Sovilehttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-222978 ... ds-newsxml

Such was the scale of the Ripper investigation that it's likely that Savile was considered as he lived in the area of a killing and matched the profile that the police were looking at. I know at least three people who were, and of course 99% of those questioned weren't pursued any further.

I don't think it had a bid and I have no idea what became of it, I think the reg was FHY400K Wasn't it the case that someone sussed the 'plate' couldn't/didn't match the car? That plus he wore his vneck tank top unusually, so a colleague told me.

Savile interviewed about "Ripper" murders? I think in those disturbing days every male in the West Riding and beyond, was interviewed or questioned at least once at one time or another. Working nights in those days, if that's not a contradiction in terms, I must have been stopped at road-blocks four or five times on the way home. That was on foot, in a car or on the bus.

He may even be turning a little slower down there from today as the nation's vilification turns towards a new target, whose name has not even been released to ensure her own continued freedom from reprisals.Or maybe the event will work a different way. Perhaps the incident may earn the lady in question a surprise invitation to the Sports Personality of the Year Award gig during December.

No lots of cars are sold or given back, the essex boys range rover is still on the road after 3 people were shot dead in it
