Yum!I see you doin' it every time you post a msg(OOPS-is that Txt speak?- sri!XX) If I put my avatar on mypostings,we'd be shut down(!), so you'll have to imagineJoel mcCrae or 'Gaz' Cooper instead! Now't like them lads,o'course, but they're far better looking than the 'Arry'original ! Now then, lass I gather you are not a 'txt speak'advocate?I'm afraid it's so easy to slip into that mode under Peer pressure,(Kids, grandkids etc!) so I'll DMB not to incl it in my rpls to U!Actually, that method of communication was used a lot when I was a telegraphist in the stoneage RAF! (saved a lot of dots and dashes in our messages!)There is a recognised list of Acronyms for use in IT ,some positively unprintable! Unfortunately, these words and phrases are in common email use now, so don't appear so shocking as they would have in 'Miss Pedantic's' class!( by the way I'm sure she has set up a chiropody clinic in Kirkgate!)(Sorry, that should read 'Pedicure').Has this gone on too long? Sorry folks, son Scandy, married intoa long line of Scandinavian Trolls so it rubs orft! Arry ur a dmnd. It's a bit of a curse to be Miss Pedicure. Involves sitting on one's hands and gritting one's teeth. I'm sure feet should be in there somewhere.Any road up. Back on topic. Historical events in Leeds!

I love this site. Lots of help with my work. A bit of mick taking going on. And I got called 'girl' by Farbank. That's made my day. I feel quite young now. I just need to make sure I don't look in the mirror before bed and I can go to bed happy. Thanks again for the info everyone. Even the part that was hundred years out was still interesting.

Not much seems to have happened in the decade mentioned, in Leeds - but whilst searching, I found a 1913 map of the Leeds central railway system:Well, it may be of some use? I find it fascinating.
You can take the lad out of Leeds - but you can't take the Leeds out of the lad.
