Not half as confused as I am Big N. The first link shows the render as a big image and has the BHS entraqnce at ground level where the current lower concourse and entrance to BHS is. However Primark is shown as occupying what is currently the lower of the two proper sales floors of BHS. It isn't clear from the render as to what is going in at the rest of the Ground level incorporating the current interchange and shops at the back but if it is BHS are they going to sandwich two sales floors around Primark? Further confusion arises because this is clearly part of the former Bond Street Centre currently Leeds Plazza and outside what I understood to be the Trinity development which was supposed to be bordered by Lands Lane, Albion Street, Boar Lane and Briggate.I agree with all that the Interchange was a dark and dingy place even after the refit and even though it pretty much faced south there was a total lack of Natural Light but it did serve a purpose in an area that was condemned as soon as the planners permitted the overhang. I'm also with Davey unless this is a recent addition to the Trinity Development the plans must have been in place at the time Metro were bunging ££££s at the last refurb

Off Topic because its Wakefield but the Trinity Walk Centre has a staggered opening over the weekend starting yesterday. Two of the big players are Argos and Sainsbury which as a result are closing their Westgate and Ings Road outlets. Many of the other occupants are just relocating from the Ridings.

Two of the big players are Argos and Sainsbury which as a result are closing their Westgate and Ings Road outlets. Many of the other occupants are just relocating from the Ridings. That's the problem - the "big name" stores will be offered exceptional deals to get them into prime units at new developments, in what marketing people like to call the halo effect. The idea is that this then attracts lesser shops to take the smaller units (on immediately profitable rents - for the developer) because of the perceived footfall of shoppers going to the big stores. In the real world though this often means that the "big name" simply shuts their existing store up the road and moves to the new place.I think I've mentioned this before, but M&S have apparently agreed to take a huge flagship store in the Eastgate development (if it is ever built). This surely means the end for the M&S on Briggate, which will leave another gaping hole on the 'Knightsbridge of the North'....

I agree with what has been said regarding the dingy hole that was the bus stops at Boar Lane. The only plus point being that at least you were out of the rain / snow while you were waiting. However, I'm more concerned about the obvious wedge of public cash that was thrown at a refurb by Metro when the redevelopment of the shopping centre was obviously in the planning stages.
