Brilliant I read somewhere that Ian Hunter never spoke to David Bowie again, after the latter didn't attend Mick Ronson's funeral. Any truth in that, Buffaloskinner?

The Grand has had some grand gigs, Be Bop deluxe ended up there and I saw Hot Chocolate there.A friend's girlfriend worked in the box office c. 1974-75 and said she could get us the hottest tickets in town for a guaranteed instant sell out concert - just say the word.Turned out it was the Bay City Rollers, so we weren't too pleased but went anyway, why not?The noise and pandemonium was something to behold, but to be fair to Les and the boys they certainly could play and sing......

Groups I saw at Queens hallWhitesnakeThin lizzyPsychedelic fursRainbowKim Wilde (Oooooooohhhhhhhh)Elland RoadQueenU2Roundhay ParkRolling StonesMadonnaMichael JacksonGenesis.Don't bother with big acts anymore, as majority of them are not to my liking. However, usually go to see much smaller "gigs" these days.Went to see Tony Joe White and Peter Green recently. Peter Green was stunningly amazing.

'Little Does She Know.'"She was sharing her spin-dryer with a guy in a tie-dye,When she saw my reflection in the chrome.I knew that she'd seen me, 'cause she dropped her bikini,The one that I got her in Rome......."Also, this must be the only song ever to rhyme laundry with quandary!(PS Not Leeds, but the Royal Hall in Harrogate was originally called The Kursaal. The name was changed to something a little more patriotic during the First World War, as Kursaal was seen as being too Teutonic. The original stone sign can still be seen on the gable-end.)
