I see you have been taking my name in vain again....<G>.Bit late joining this thread as I have been busy at work lately.regarding haunted collieries, there are more than you would think.I can recommend Liz Lanahans 2 excellent books "Pit Ghosts,Padfeet & Poltergeists" and the sequel "More Pit ghosts,Padfeet & Poltergeists" published in 1994 and 1996 respectively.I have been told a couple of tales of haunted pits by ex miners in the wakefield area as well.

OK, that's true as deaths are rare from eating it. But being serious for a moment I would though advise anyone not to eat that commonly found fungus.PS. I think the man in the image is doing a Fosbury Flop over a hidden high jump bar!

The S.L gang never go about solving there cases in a professional way. It's not quite in the Sherlock Holmes & Watson mould, more like a Laurel & Hardy type effort i think But you will get some very useful info 'eventually' all in good time. Take no notice of the bit of fun in the process, It will prove to have been worth your while in asking
