Hi Phil,Not long ago I went into the woods east of Pollard Lane to find the site of Newlay Hall. I found an old quarry that side (some steep drops in there) and the quarry plant (wonder what that was for and how it worked) but was delighted to find the remains of the Hall. Did you see it - any of your marvellous piccy's for fellow admirers??

I guess you found those little narrow steps near the small outbuildings, and that stone crushing bunker thing? I don't think i had any decent shots, must have deleted them over time. But i've seen the old hall as well. Well the one wall of it still standing. Sorry no pics, but i'll look again sometime
