His name may have been Wright Dave, but I was the best man...at his wedding anyway!

I don't know which school he went to Chrism. He'll being his late 60's or early 70's. I know he had a daughter called Gaynor. He also had a son but I forget his name. All those years ago, his mum & dad lived on Whinmoor. Very big Leeds United supporter.

Friends Reunited also lets you search by workplace (you know at least one of these), Street (if you can be more specific than Whinmoor/East End Park) and Pub (if you know a regular "haunt")

That's the problem Tyke. It's been over thirty years since I heard from him. My ex thinks he went to work abroad. I don't think he was a pub man, I don't know the street he lived in and I only know where he worked in the 60's. Never mind; I tried. Serves me right for losing contact in the first place; and thanks for trying to help.

There is a lost and found section in the Daily mail on a Saturday where they publish a picture and details of the person you are hoping to find asking anyone who knows their whereabouts to get in touch. It might be worth a try if you have run out of other options.

alanlad wrote: Did you know that the Leeds DLVA office is moving tomorrow 20th. November from Eastgate to Colton. It's due to close at 12.30 tomorrow and reopen at the Colton office on Monday. Its just below Sainsburys in Bullathorpe Lane. With Sainsburys on your left, drive past until you reach a roundabout. 1st. left is Temple Fields Business Park. I think that Finch Drive first on your right. I'me sure I remember the DVLA in Eastgate being No.29, the last building on the left going down Eastgate. Apprently its No 42 on the opposite side of the road. I can remember the office being on the other side of Eastgate, but it is a long time ago - late 70's / early 80's. I can remember going there as a kid with my mum for some reason (presumably car tax or my dads HGV licence?), but it had moved across the road by the late 80's when I had to go there occasionally for work reasons. It's ironic that the DVLA are moving to a site that is significantly more difficult to get to by public transport than their old office...

The only consolation may be that parking is easier.
