School dinners,trying to work out what was on the menu from the smells wafting from the kitchen, and dreading the impending cabbage.

Not childhood, but from the 1970s when I first worked on Kirkstall Road - there was often a really terrible smell - I think it was from a tanning factory ?

The Pickle factory at Amen corner was very "funky" in summer months

Waxed floorboards always remind me of my first years at the Clock School in Armley. Pino Sylvestre after shave always reminds me of Mr Keating (RIP) our science teacher at Ben Gott High.

Bathrooms cleaned with Vim. Cig smoke and farts as my dad would leave the toilet door open and smoked whilst on the "throne".
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

Walking into Firth & Paynes on Fish Street. Coffee, fresh bread, Yorkshire ham and dry smoked bacon.
