I think he may have been on the morning show before the current horror that is “Andrew and Georgey”. Spot on!

I think it is about 20years ago there used to be a d j called Kevin cannot remember surname .but him and his wife Gillian took a pub at Apperlby Bridge. Her family used to own the former Cullens, and my husbands offices were next door. I remember him. I think he may have been Kevin Kaye, the programme "Get it on" had a jingle which used the "Tetley Tea Folk" tune:Get it on on SaturdayHosted by the bearded Kevin KayeGet it on is funAnd much better listening than Radio 1

I listen to Radio Leeds every day at home and in the car commuting leeds -york each day,why you may ask ?The main reason is no stupid/childish/inane commercials. This does not make it perfect.Early to 0900 - Andrew Edwards, quite proffesional given the chance, his handcap is georgie spanswick,a forced laugh to kill for.0900-1200 Graham Liver and company who will do almost anything on air to keep in the limelight.1200-1400 -needs no furher comment.Paul Carrington - top banana, catch his sunday Jukebox request show as well, decent prog from Steve Bailey later.'Gunny' on the traffic news may sound a bit harresed with the traffic news at times but really seems to knowhis way round West Yorkshire which more than can said fr some of the others. The BBC did a great diservice to thepublic when they gave Peter Levy and john Boyd the push. They need to take a step back and take a look at their options but please -not as far as 1968..............Dogduke

I was thinking about Radio Leeds just now. A few years ago there used to be a presenter called John Boyd - who from the way he talked was a proper Loiner. And he was everywhere. Daily from 9-00am until noon. Soccer on Satuday afternoon, RL on Sunday afternoon, he also had a sports quiz one night a week, he even read the news occasionally on BBC North on Saturdays, then one June, could have been 2005 or 2006 - I went away on holiday and when I came back he'd completely disappeared. I just wondered if anyone knew what happend to him - was he sacked? Did he die suddenly? I found (find) it very mysterious.

I fully agree with all that has been said re. Spanswick, I cannot believe she ever made it to the airwaves - I remember her on "Action Time" in the early 90s making charity seem despicable.Liz Green is a terrible, terrible woman. As a student I used to delight in sending her pedantic emails - she rarely replied.Peter Levy was the jewel in the BBC's local crown, his banter with Paul Hudson was ace, whether on Radio Leeds or Look North.

Well I never hear Liz Green. But Georgie Spanswick really gets on my t*ts. I mainly listen to Radio Leeds on a morning for a) the local weather, b) the local sport esp. RL and most importantly c) the traffic news: and invariably because she talks so much she misses the cue for the traffic infro more often than she hits it. I find this aspect of her even more annoying than her braying laugh and her constant interuptions of the other subjects I tune in to hear. I really hate her
