By 'eck! How cold was it last night?*I'd left half a small bottle of Pepsi in my cup holder in the car and it was frozen rock solid this morning. The car had a double dose of frost on the outside - a covering of that fluffy stuff a bit like snow that is easily brushed off, over a layer of well and truly welded on ice on the actual glass.* - the forecast said -4 degrees Celcius for Leeds last night, but I wonder what is the actual freezing point of fizzy pop? It will be lower than 0 because of all the additives.

There was a very pretty covering of hoar frost this morning on trees and plants near where I live in north Leeds when I was out at about 11:00. Some of the hoar frost was though already thawing as the Sun caught it, so I did not get any really good photos of the frosty scene.

Colder tonight so they say Leodian. Don't miss it tomorrow if it happens again The moisture from the fog we had last night really made the great show of frost. I've noticed a lot of bitterly cold nights are frost free. All depends on moisture content in the air so the weather men say.

Yes it definitely seems colder tonight than recently, as my heating is struggling to maintain warmth.Edit added around 23:20. I've just seen a Leeds weather website and it stated that at 22:50 it was -9°C and "Feels Like -14°". Brrrr.

I would recommend you get your antifreeze checked out to see if its still doing its job.Ive checked 7 different cars now this winter and ALL of them were not up to the temps we are having this winter. Also remember if your water levels have depleted in your expansion tank and you need to top up the levels.Follow the correct bleeding technique for the model of car you own.The last thing you want is an Air lock because then your heater will pack in.......................NOT GOOD! lol.Ps/if anyone needs any advice on this matter give me a shout and i will try my best to help you out.
