Hear hear, whatever your take on the games overall, you've just got to love that beaming smile from Nicola whenever she's on camera.......nearly as wide as a "special" from Crawford's fish shop in Beeston ! According to today's Mirror she was in the same class at school as Danny McGuire.

I think they have a point about it being in the wrong place. It really ought to be where they trained and live rather than just putting it on a main road in a busier suburb so it's easier for the papers to photograph (which is why they've done it I'm sure).I suppose it is true more people will see it in Horsforth but surely putting it in Bramhope gives them some tourism and makes it more fun to get to for anyone who wants to track them all down?Typing the above makes me think they should keep the location secret and paint the box overnight (installing CCTV or a guard as appropriate) then let people find them.

I can just picture the busy Leeds roads even more congested as folk try find the pillar boxes and drive around s l o w l y....I don't think it will be long before folk are scrawling on them and they end up painted red again.

Just seen on Look North, a Bramhope resident had painted a postbox there gold as the Brownlea brothers live there and not in Horsforth. Didn't stay gold for long though it was re painted red this aft! Spoilsports!

A homecoming parade is planned for this Monday (13th) for all the Leeds athletes who've competed in the Olympics:http://www.leedsinspired.co.uk/events/l ... mingShould be a good do and I'm certainly going to try and get there - plus Millennium Square is near Nicola Adams two gold post boxes, so you can kill two birds with one stone.PS - Radio Leeds have said that Nicola is the ONLY gold medalist so far to get two post boxes painted gold in their honour!

Could it be one of the reported but probably not confimed missile launching sites in case of attack during the Olympic Games?

It looks a little more glamourous from the inside than outside, and I'm sure you've all seen it many times by now

Why on earth can't these people take time to 'carefully' paint something for the public good. Not so obvious as to be immediately remedied. PHILLTHE BBC REPORTING SUITE ?
