No sooner were the offending SPAM messages removed than they reappeared. About 12 of them advertising the same types of thing.
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!

New spam messages removed. I need to update the security question asked when registering, will sort that out now.

Security question updated - hopefully neither too obvious or too obscure, but we'll have to wait and see. The main reason for these spam issues is because I made the question really easy following complaints from a chap trying to sign up who couldn't get the previous one about The Black Prince.

How is it possible that somebody wouldn't know about The Black Prince?

Maybe kill two birds with one stone and make the anti spam question "Where did the fountain that used to be in front of the town hall go?"

Security questions are only easy if you know the answer in the first place. I don’t live or work in Leeds and I don’t really take any interest in the statues when I do visit Leeds. So I will be honest and say that I didn’t know the answer to the Black Prince question off the top of my head and had to hit Google up for it instead to get the answer to register, which probably only took me about 30 seconds extra to do.

Strangely though the image posted above is not the Black Prince statue, it is actually the Duke of Wellington statue, located outside the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square Glasgow.

The new security question doesn’t seem to be working either Duncan. 9 new spam threads at the time of posting!

It looks like the new spam is from accounts set up on Saturday and one of them has unusually been used 14 times. Perhaps Duncan should have a look at the recent accounts set up with completely random characters.
