What a great response its nice to know what other members like to do. It gives a different incite into the people we talk to on S/L you can post for years on this site and still not know much about the people on site, unless you have met at one of the S/L meetings many thanks for your reply's.

Photography, I'm just getting into using film (which is now called 'analogue' apparently) although I still use digital - when time permits...which is rarely often enough. My flickr photostream is here: http://snipurl.com/297s43wEngineering fascinates me, especially old stuff. I also enjoy the occasional pint - current favourites include Daleside Blonde and Ossett Brewery's Silver King. Innes and Gunn do a very interesting range of bottled beers too - and I'd recommend Shipyard IPA which is a bottled American craft beer available in a surprising number of places at the moment. And lastly, for now, I love the cinema. Anything from old black and white movies, to the obscure, to blockbusters. Which is something else I seldom seem to have time for...

I have spent 30+ years researching the history of Seacroft, the things you find on maps and plans, not the family histories.I now live in Warrington, so the research has slowed down, but being retired in theory I get more time.I enjoy Lego, which is usually claimed by my grandson, and collect model fire engines.Gardening takes a lot of our time. Our front garden is a pebble 'beach' complete with a timber slatted path and groynes- I love alpine plants, so we created the perfect environment. The side garden is our relax area, a pond with great crested newts and several species of dragonflies, with figs and kiwi fruit at arms length, I have not yet found a Guinness tree! The back garden is split into two, hedgehogs in the wild flower meadow, and our three dogs have their own sandy beach.I enjoy taking photographs, and would love to know how it all works? We support a dog charity and Leeds Rhinos.and if there is any time left over I enjoy watching cricket.Ken

Shooting and sailing/messing about on the water but not enough spare time to devote to either.

Hi All,My main hobbies are building and repairing vintage valve guitar amplifiers (which is also, unfortunately, my job) and engineering/building gadgets and machines.I'm building a full size Dalek at the moment. I like to do DIY and home improvements, too.Motorcycling and driving when I have time to get out.
