This one will take some beating Also in Leeds we have 'Cavalier Approach' down at Richmond Hill. I wonder if anyone thought actually thought about that name first?

Many moons ago when I was studying French at school (CSE Grade 3, if you're interested...), we had a trainee teacher from Canada take one lesson a week. She really struggled with the principle of having groups of streets of the same name all clumped together. We thought nothing of it - after all we'd been brought up with things like that and it was common practice to say someone lived in the Brooklands, the Fearnvilles or the Askets, or wherever. It just shows that while we thought it a bonus, helping to narrow down the area, she found it a real hindrance trying to find her way to a specific street amongst a neighbourhood of similar sounding street.
