Thats a great spot Jogon, with kingfishers and dippers present on the Aire and Brown Trout swimming happily it proves the water quality has improved vastly over the last few years. Even though when at summer levels 70% of the flow is recycled water from sewage works outlets. Trivial fact, sewage is 95% water, it's the bilological "load" that matters. treat that and things should be OK.My ex neighbour was nearly knocked into the canal near redcote bridge by a deer. I saw a pheasant on Broomfield Crescent the other week.

The river is in good health as you said I saw a group of Pochard there yesterday and there are big Chub pike and brown trout in it. Christ for minute I thought you said a MONK lol
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

I saw a rat running across the car park at Crown Point this lunchtime....does that count? On a more serious note, I've seen grey squirrels on Park Square, St Pauls Street and Park Place at daybreak - I'm sure they must be around at other times too.

It's a good sighting to see either a Whitethroat or Lesser Whitethroat down the riverbank. I have seen deer down Newly Lane around the river so I'm sure they will have made their way down the aire valley. I've only seen otters in Scotland so if Otters are in Leeds that's excellent news.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad
