A website titled 'Leeds Co-op: Jubilee history 1847-97 (5)' may be helpful. It has information on the Leeds Co-op locations and people connected with the Leeds Co-op over that period. This is the link:-http://gerald-massey.org.uk/holyoake/c_ ... o-op_5.htm(Link corrected Leodian )

added here for Leodian. Pinning a thread should simply keep it at the top of the list, nothing more, it's not locked. If problems persist, we'll 'un-pin' it I think this is also part of the Council's Marketing Leeds partners. (Didn't they try something similar for the Market a couple of years ago?).LeodianUser Location: LeedsJoined on: 10-Jun-2010 12:33:50Posted: 1462 posts # Posted on: 19-Jan-2012 23:04:56.    Edit | Quote The Leeds City Council's http://www.locateinleeds.co.uk/ website is mainly Leeds business orientated but it does have links to useful information about Leeds.I tried to post this in the 'Reference & Resource Information' thread but new posts could not be added as that "thread is locked/sticky".

I don't think this has been mentioned on the thread yet, but Leeds Libraries Online Resources now include British Library 19th Century Newspapers which you can access free of charge if you have a library number and you can do this from home, i.e. you don't have to be at a library computer. The Leeds Mercury is one of the newspapers in the database.http://www.leeds.gov.uk/Leisure_and_cul ... urces.aspx
