There's also http://twitter.com/Tweet2Yorkshire, which is basically a keyword search aggregator but quite handy, and http://twitter.com/gdnleeds. Perhaps this is the future for local news now that the Evening Post mostly regurgitates press releases and Calendar and Look North are made in the same building.     I know there was a plan revealed last year for the BBC and ITV to share buildings and facilities but as far as I know nothing came of it. Calendar is still based out of Kirkstall Road and the BBC at St. Peters Square in the city centre.

It seems that neither the YEP or BBC Leeds have anyone updating at the weekend, and the stringer who runs the otherwise quite good Leeds page at the Guardian takes the weekend off. It seems to be something (else) that the area is lacking, and we can't be short of things happening. too true you don't get much local news in leeds their is leeds other paper but thats not much good you get more local new on secret leeds

That seems like an excellent site. It'll keep me happy today as I look out onto a snowy landscape from the warmth of my study!

The Guardian is to 'retire' its experiment with local news. http://www.guardian.co.uk/help/insidegu ... cal-update

Might be worth a filling in the survey saying how dire it is - maybe they'll take note?
