Harry Partaps?

Don't remember a hardware shop there in the last 30 years, though it gets vague further back. There was a row of shops that was demolished between the skyrack and Addisons Florist (North and South hairdressers now). In that row there was a stationery shop called Studio Ateliers and something next door that I can't remember. Possibly there?

Blimey. This thread is now over three years old but I need to put it to rest. Harry Partap's DID exist. It was on North Lane near where Polar Bear used to be, just down from the Oxfam shop. My friends and I used to also use the phrase 'where did you get that jumper (etc) from, Harry Partap's'. This would have been around 1985 when we first started drinking. Hope this info will put a few minds to rest.
