That is more likely than having actual snow on the ground. Unfortunately this year they are likely to get away with it because despite much of the country being covered in a white blanket of snow it doesn't look like it will be added to tomorrow. I'm sure you are right but that's not what it says, but in the literal sense of reality as it is written,to me, it's wrong. They are not saying what they mean!

Missed those but to be honest I only glance through the paper on the odd chance there may be something - NEW? - of interest. The hard core of letter writers seem to be coming in for some stick about their 'frequent' entries.Cheryl Cliffe before Christmas was praising the paper, all I can say is that she is VERY easily pleased.Poor paper, getting worserer(sorry slipping into YEP mode)

this had me going wtf today:"A former Leeds United youth player killed while chasing thieves cuddles the new baby daughter with whom he should have been celebrating a first Christmas and New Year."Once i figured out he hasn't come back from beyond the grave i realsied it's just incredibly badly worded, and makes even less sense when you pull the strapline away from the picture.

Some of the howlers above can probably be put down to careless use of a "Spell chucker"Others are so awful that the teenage journos must be using predictive texting to file their stories.Could that be an explanation?
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!
