I assume the latter figure is the elevation above a flat horizon but the former set look like a longitude which presumably would not be static unless orbiting North-South or vice versa If that means they go from one side to the other, then yes! I'll check with my Oracle on such matters when he returns from leave! (Did like the look of the lanterns though)

You're supposed to write a wish on them.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0QtdpgT41k

I was at a party on Saturday night in Plompton, Harrogate, and we lit 2 of these Chinese lanterns, just after 8.45pm, and the last we saw of them, they were heading in the cookridge direction, so they were probably ours, I am not sure how long they last?

They last for about 8 mins. Also it says on the instructions ,not to be released within 5 miles of an airport.

When I was at school, we made several of these, but we called them hot air balloons. We stuck three large sheets of tissue paper together and cut it in a leaf shape. Then we stuck several of these together to form an open-bottomed balloon about five foot across. After weighting the bottom edge, we held it over a fire till it inflated, and then let it go. With a small piece of burning card wired below, they would go about half a mile before falling to earth, or going up in flames! Very spectacular after dark.
