Is this any closer? I suspect the photographer is standing near the garden of rest looking down Merrion Street.

Cardiams, Unfortunately not. I'm certain that it was on the parade of shops situated on Merrion St. Thanks very much for the suggestion though ! Chrism, Yes, I'm sure it was one of those small shops right at the end in the first photograph. As Irony would have it, your right about the photographer probably having his back to the shop in question whilst taking the second photo. Thankyou !Again, I sincerely appreciate all your help. The search is starting to narrow down. I'm sure that the mystery shop will eventually yield its true identity.

Does anybody know when this row was cleared? I've no recollection of them but would only have been 12 in 1980.
