Braimes has been featured on BBC Look North today. They showed shots of the factory and the womens canteen. I definitely plan to go along tomorrow. I am aimimg to get there between 1:30 pm- 2 pm if anyone fancies meeting up.I bet it would be interesting doing a ghost hunt in there as well!I must ask about any hauntings.

Well I went to the open day and very interesting it was too. They have some lovely wood panelling in the canteens as well as stained glass panels. Nice to see an old clocking in machine.i hope it gets saved.Lots of guides to ask questions of as well. they consisted of a mixture of retired and present workers. i was surprised at the amount of people there (I arrived at 1 pm). A lot were saying that they used to work there.I also asked about ghosts and was told that the commissionaires who went round at night had seen lights and machinery switching on after everything had been turned off!
