I can confirm that the latest leg of the Tomlinson's bike ride ended on Leeds Met's Headingley campus (Beckett Park) yesterday afternoon

Not getting to spend as much time as I would like on SL nowadays :-(Although I am still keeping my hand in there... got a good tour of Tower Works the other day, although sadly all my pics were rubbish. seems a little bit of a waste of good money to me!i think jane would rather of had the cost of a banner trailing from the back of a plane(that no-one could read) ,donated to charity.

True - though perhaps the banner maker/ plane company and pilot etc did it for free. Even so there's still the cost of the fuel.

The cars with cameras on a pole are part of Google's attempts to take photo's of every street in the UK for their View Street project.It is already live in the USA, and creating lots of waves from people who want their houses removed so that nosy neighbours,burglars etc can't see them.Mind you why a burglar would bother to look on Google instead of just casing the joint itself I don't know. Most of them i have encountered in my professional capacity wouldn't have the energy or ability to think like that!
