Bit of a lame claim to fame but I know that my mate Ben's brother is married to a daughter of Charlie Chuck, they live in Otley where I think said Chuck character may also live.

When I was a kid in Belleisle during the sixties we would sometimes come across an elderly chap somewhat worse for drink who for some reason or other would always recite to us the following:"Charlie Chuck married a duck the duck died and Charlie cried".I suppose this rhyme is where C.C. got his stage name from.

I saw Charlie Chuck in Otley last Sunday morning. Apart from the hair, he appeared quite normal. He was talking to someone on his mobile.

He occasionally runs a comedy club at Coopers in Guiseley and I've seen him in there and in the West End in Kirkstall, although you wouldn't recognise him with his hair tied back.

I saw him at Joseph's Well once and he was so funny I felt quite ill after from laughing so much. I didn't realise he was a Leeds gent, I don't get to Otley much but will keep my eyes peeled!

He's on at the City Varieties with the great paper mache headed one Frank Sidebottom.
