Barry is a wonderous source of anecdotage and really needs to get it all written down very soon as he's going to stop eventually. Does anyone remember the television version of 'Hello Cheeky', which I think was unique in being a BBC radio show that was put on TV by ITV, and had at one time Barry performing, and the immortal line, with Barry dressed as a doctor, picking up a suppository and saying "a suppository - some bum's got my pen!"

Geordie-exile wrote: Barry Cryer was indeed the presenter on Jokers Wild. I saw a clip recently and everyone was smoking! Seemed weird. I can remember the set (harlequin type background) and the theme tune (sort of up-tempo circus-type music.)
