Tilly, I thought I'd mentioned about the door, but after I tried moving it the thing wouldnt budge at all cos it seems the hinges are well seized up and short of ripping the thing off (which I woiuldnt do anyway) theres not a lot I can do. When the weather changes and I've got some more batteries I'm gonna send in a remote controlled toy truck I have with a digital camera set to record video gaffer taped to the top... That might yield some interesting results - probably me writing a message asking if anyone has a long pole with a hook on that I can use to retrieve my camera with! Someone mentioned attaching some string to the car / camera but I can imagine it will still get caught and I'll be howling with frustration when the string snaps... Anyway when I get some results you'll all be the first to hear that I've discovered the 'holy grail' of secret leeds, i.e, the long lost Kirkstall Abbey Secret Tunnel!

Good luck with your search next year if you find there silver you will be quids in.I am sure i saw in a book that the Kirkstal Abbey silver had never been found but of course whoever put on the metal door will have been in before you drat.
