Re: Tyne Tees and Kennedy Caterers
Both Brian and Amelia (wife?) resigned in 1996 and replaced with two other Kennedys (sons?) and its now listed as dissolved. Also listed as dissolved is the arm preusmably specifically for catering on filmsets https://companycheck.co.uk/company/0114 ... ITED/about.
Both companies appear to have Morley residential addresses Reedling Drive and Zoar Street as the registered offices but the last address given for Brian and Amelia was in Batley

Zoar St is the address I remember invoicing at the time.
I also seem to recall they did a lot of work for Granada TV.

Re: Tyne Tees and Kennedy Caterers
I remember Kennedy's caterers very well as I used to walk past it on my way into Morley town centre from where I used to live near the top of Churwell Hill close to St Peters church. It was located on Queen Street I think, just opposite a small stone lintel called "Coffin Corner" where allegedly pall bearers would rest coffins on the way to St Mary's in the Wood church (the large church close to the town centre that was tragically burned down a few years ago).
Also my auntie Hilary used to work for Kennedy's for years as as such she was a dab hand at doing domestic catering which meant every Christmas the whole family would gather at her house on Rooms Lane for a slap up buffet spread that she laid on. My dad used to tell me that when I was a baby he once visited his sister at work and that he took me onto the old set of Emmerdale Farm where I had the likes of Annie Sugden, Mattie & Dolly etc all cooing over me!
Funny how people from Leeds all seem to have some kind of connection with that TV show (unless its just me!). One of my ex-girlfriends is a scriptwriter for the show and my old friend Dan is one of the camera men. I know other people who have friends who are extras on the show. Infact a few months ago my brother was employed as an extra on Emmerdale, and I didnt know until I saw him in the background dancing about in a nightclub scene!
As for not being able to receive YTV in Morley, I think that must have been dependent on where in the town you lived. As I lived near the top of Churwell Hill I was easily able to tune into both YTV and Tyne Tees. I guess the signal was broadcast from Emley Moor for YTV and any signal for Tyne Tees must have come from the north east region.
