I just read of the stabbing to death today of a female teacher at corpus christie in leeds:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-27193638an indication of the change in attitude towards teachers since my day.

I work with a former pupil and he tells me she was well-liked. I have a vague recollection of people talking about her. I hope we don't have to fear for our youth

Today's events were tragic. I know the lady in question and my kids attend the school. To be fair though, discipline at the school is good and all of the teachers are well respected (well by 99.99% of pupils).Lord knows what this boy was thinking though.
