Where was this picture taken ?

This picture was among my dad's photo albums. i thought that I could see my brother in it, however he says that its not him. The school that he went to was St Theresa's in Crossgates, in the late 50s.Does anyone recognise the building or even any of the children?

Don't know it but looks like a church type building/hall and taken during WW2 ??? Blast tape on the glass. Suspect it's a school due to the stuffed duck and maps. Picture of Madonna and child on righthand pillar suggests catholic?

if anyone can zoom in on the honours board at the back of the hall,that might have a school name at the top?

I hadn't even noticed the Honours Board, Steve, but no I can't zoom in clearly enough onto that.St Theresa's school (now the Newman Centre) was built in 1930, but I don't think the picture is taken there, although I agree with the religious probably Catholic setting idea.What is the significance of the poster with 'The Man on the Bridge' anyone?

Is that a large stuffed bird in a glass case above the 'The Man on the Bridge'? If so perhaps that may ring some bells.

Just to the left of the Madonna and Child portrait is a girl in Brownie uniform. The gold coloured tie which this girl is wearing was introduced in 1938, so the photo can't be any earlier than that.I realise this doesn't really help much given that this is obviously a war-time scene.Info from this site:http://www.bedsguiding.org.uk/uniforhistory.htm

It certainly isn't St T's. The Man on the Bridge poster is a poster for War Savings. Oops, just seen Somme1916's post.

I tried zooming in on the picture to see if I could read the honours board but no luck.

I tried doing an image search using the photo on Google to see if anyone else had put a copy up in the hope of finding a name, but drew a blank.
