This photo (which I took today, July 8 2013) shows a number of traffic cones that look as if they might have been dumped in the very shallow part of the side of the River Aire immediately on the right coming from Swinegate. Hopefully a good flood will carry them away (if not taken out by the Council). The cones and the scummy nature of the water made unpleasant viewing. I was there only 4 days back and in shallow water at the side just here there were then quite a lot of fish from around 4 to at least 6 inches in length, but I did not see any today. One obvious thing also was that the water in the river seemed scarcely to be moving at all, presumably an indication of the recent general dry.

Think you've had a better look, and inspection of that bridge than Leeds City Council have in the last 10 years. That's judging on it's terrible condition it looks today Leo
