Have any of you noticed how some of the images on street view vary massively, sometimes leaping 4 years between frames?I'll start off with two, over the road from the CEX and Sainsbury's sites in town and they aren't there....jump to the other side of the road and they're miraculously fully furnished open!Another is the small Maplin next to Burger King and opposite B&Q in the Junction Retail Park, go to the side and it's boarded up, go to the front and it's open.Any more?

I think it's because they're constantly updating it. And some streets get overlooked, or plan to snap it on a different date...I found a quality one the other day; it isn't in Leeds like, it's in Pickering, near the NYM...http://goo.gl/maps/dJ5dShttp://goo.gl/maps/06HTm

Take a look at Morrison's in Rothwell. As you 'travel along' Ingram Parade (East to West) the modern store is just a building site beside the road, with the old supermarket still standing behind; turn left at the mini-roundabout onto Butcher Hill and the new superstore is fully built!
The older I get, the better I was.

On closer inspection it says August 2008 so it must have been demolished almost immediately afterwards

I don't think it was demolished. They just removed the innards of the old Shaftesbury House and the walls of the building you see now is the outer shell of the one that has always been there. There's got to be one or two spooks on the loose in there.
