Fireworks fundI would like 2 things 1, funds 2, volunteers My plan is this around October we buy the loudest air bomb fireworks we can get and then we start setting them of around 2am in mid January to march in areas that are normally active. Yes I am sick of the bangs

Fireworks do seem to be getting set off ever earlier (in October) and lasting well into November. It's OK for a few days but it does get a bit much so spread out.

I too am heartily sick of it. We also have a terrified dog to look after. From mid afternoon through to midnight (or later) for the last week and a half and still two days to go to Bonfire Night.

It's nowhere near like it used to be when these tighter firework laws came in a few years ago. You only hear the odd few go off, and not weeks before like in the past. Also bonfire night in general doesn't seem like it used to be, there aren't many street and family bonfires like the old days. It's all organised displays. In the old days you had Bonfire night on the 5th November, now it seems spread out over the nearest weekend. We had proper fireworks when I was a lad, no health & safety nonsense like today.*INSTRUCTIONS*Light banger at arms length and throw!

Can't get the dog to go out for a wee. He's had tranquillisers and is still shaking. I could cope with one night but it's ridiculous. Noise pollution or what?

From my place it seems the bigger booms and bangs come from the North, while the little firecrackers come from the South. You can see who has the most money to send up in smoke lol

I really must consult the Urban Dictionary next time before I post....Apparently the term "squib" has taken on an entirely different connotation these days ! Not that I would have known being an old duffer.....one of next door's young 'uns just pointed it out to me (lol)....No slight intended..........things just ain't wot they used to be
