'Punched a guy in the face....'yes, a guy who had , totally unprovoked, thrown an egg in Prescott's face from about 2 yards away.Prosecute him? I'd give him a medal!
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

This is a guy up for the new job and he was questioned about his brother's activities.I'm really struggling to get my head round this new, well paid position.....the previous incumbents at WYPA,to my mind only, should be disregarded for their ineffectiveness before(but still they stand-all three !)......after all, they chase the "buck"....and will kowtow to their political masters for same. As for the independent guy.....well before,I thought he might have got my vote. With the current revelations,I'm not that sure.Having said all that, will it really change anything at all ?

The 4 West Yorks candidates were on Look Northon Wednesday. Is that the best that a high profile well paid job can attract ?John Pescott is not a local candidate thankfully, just how much money does this guy, sorry Baron want?MP pension and the daily rate of I think £300 plus subsistance plus a possible "Local Sherriff's" job his income will excede that of some poor third world countries

I agree all that. The point I make is that if I was caught by an egg by some random. And punched him in the face, on camera. With Police nearby...I'm sure I would have been prosecuted. Don't you think?

What are we voting for? How many members of the public know enough about the intricacies of policing to make an informed decision? I know I don't.Isn't every candidate just going to say, "Vote for me. I promise to reduce crime"?Surely one of the reasons we vote for politicians in the first place is to make these decisions for us, isn't it? What next...a ballot to choose your local road-sweeper?

Why do we need 41 Police and Crime Commissioners nationally to oversee and to "hold the Chief Constable and police force to account on the public's behalf"? Who have had these responsibilities up to now? I've no idea who any of the candidates are but am wary of anybody who puts their name forward for any type of QUANGO. It's going to cost an awful lot. It will be interesting to see how crime figures compare by May 2016 - the end of the first election term.
