Apart from the potted history of the Town Hall I thought the programme was a bit of a let down. The items they showed had no real local interest and weren't the most inspiring object d'art anyway - some bloke with an old spoon he found on a building site down south, a cardboard model of an American Ferris wheel and a book of admittedly detailed drawings about a Roman villa (also down south). Now, if they'd found the original plans for the Kirkstall Abbey tunnel, that would have been different.

Very true - I was hoping to see a lost Atkinson Grimshaw - mind you I like the guy who said his dad who was from Elland was mean and polished a lot!

The original plans for the Kirkstall Abbey Tunnel are safely stored away in the Kirkstall Abbey Tunnel.
