I've bought books in the past from Oxfam and they have been around the prices that some antiquarian book dealers ask. I know that such dealers have however complained that Oxfam has an unfair advantage having books donated to it. I suspect though that if Oxfam did sell such books cheaply then people would buy them to resell at a higher price.

There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
