Does anyone remember the name of the coffee bar, almost next to the Wren hotel in, I think, Brunswick Street please. It was in the 1960's.

Is it Cross Belgrave st??There is a parade of shops that stand back a bit,I seem to remembera cafe or someting on there

I remember a chinese near there and an American diner type cafe opposite The Wrens.

Yes, it was the very first of the "set back" shops next to the Wrens, and it was one of the first "espresso" places in Leeds in the mid to late fifties. I can't remember its name then I'm afraid, but for up and coming "with it" young folks it was THE place to be.

Ikes was the American themed restaruant wasn't it? I'm too young to remember the coffee bar.

Ikes was a American themed restaurant,but was in the building set back behind the Wrens.If there was a coffee bar before that I will have to pass         Michael
