McLarens were also in Hunslet (Jack Lane area I believe) and, IF Greens were the ones who latterly made only lawnmowers etc they were in North Street opposite the park - IF its the same Greens then I believe they made steam tram engines also, many of which ran in Leeds.

Hi wiggy,I saw the Dibnah thing myself, not my area of expertise at all though!!! I did find these links mentioning Greens Steam Rollers if that is any use to you?www.oldglory.co.uk/archive/index.htm https://classicissues.com/bidetail.asp?AutoNo=1000344I hear that McClaren are to make a Formula 1 steam roller for next season. Lewis Hamilton says he hopes to crush the opposition with it!!! I'll get my coat.Han.

They were on North Street, and yes they made road rollers, I know this because I applied for a job there in March 1965-before starting on the road to where I am now, with Levertons at Gildersome.
