Anyone know what's on there at the moment, we see lots of armoured vans, outriders and helicoptors at the mo.

For the past two days, the police helicopter has been hovering over the area just before 8.00am, then at 8.00am it swoops away. I commented to one of my work colleagues this morning that it seems to be a carefully timed event.I was on jury service at Leeds Crown Court two weeks ago (the most boring experience of my life - I never got to see a case!). There were/are a couple of trials going on with reporting restrictions, and you had to pass by rows of armed Police after you'd gone through security!

I too have seen the van being escorted too and from Wakefield Prison.I assumed it was some sort of drug trial or organised crime lot and they feared attempts to spring them.I did see a face peering out of the prison van as it passed me in City Square on Tuesday and he looked in his mid twenties. It will be in the papers when concluded as previously said.
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

I would like to know how the police escort gets away with holding up traffic in Leeds City Centre at rush hour for up to 10 minutes before this prison van leaves the Court Building. It causes mayhem even at a time of the year when rush hour traffic is approaching its lightest.

The convoy was back on this morning, and I think I may have seen it near Woodhouse lane multi storey on the way into Leeds about 1.00pm last Thursday (a late start given the judges usually like to finish by 3.00)
