Kippax Park (not Kippax hall, main street), Owned by the Bland-Davison family

Just a stab in the dark but does anybody have any infomation on Kippax park and house, I've found a couple of pics and gate house. For such a grand house and estate there's no other trace to be found. If anybody has any pictures or infomatiom i'd be really interested. Cheers.

Undated. View of Kippax Park, one of the most magnificent buildings in the village of Kippax, the seat of the Bland family for many generations. Originally built in the 17th century, around the time of Sir Thomas Bland (c1614-1657), the first Baronet Bland of Kippax Park, it was extended in the 18th century by the 6th Baronet, Sir John Bland. The family continued to live in the house until the death of John Davison Bland in 1928, after which the house and contents were sold, but it was left to become derelict and was eventually demolished in the 1950s (Leodis).

Where did it actually stand?There are a few website devoted to these country houses that have been demolished, there seems to have been a surprisingly large number of them.When you think of all those that have been turned into hotels, company HQ schools and the like, it makes you think of what the social structure of the country was like.Seems to have been two main waves of demolition, through the late 1920's-mid 30's and then later on in the late 1950's through to the mid 1960's.Perhaps the changes to taxation made a major contributions, it can't be much of a coincidence that the pace increased during Labour administrations.
