VICTORIA GARDENS

More than 100 giant sky-high photographs mapping landscapes the length and breadth of Britain have gone on 24-hour display in Leeds.

The images of well-known landmarks and major UK cities are being shown at the city's Victoria Gardens alongside a 16-metre Ordnance Survey map, allowing visitors to explore the exact location of each one.

The Britain from the Air exhibition was created jointly by the Royal Geographical Society and street gallery pioneers Wecommunic8.

Hi Brunel :).

I passed the displays today but I did not stop to have a look as I was in a bit of a rush and there were a lot of them, so I thought I would see them another time. I did notice that the very large map of Britain on the ground was a walk-on feature, but when I passed by going to and coming back from where I had been though there were plenty looking at the map there was nobody walking on it! I wonder if the warning that it may be slippy was putting people off ;)

Pity it's only 24 hours. Why so short?
