Light Night 2008 (24 days time)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post about this or if its been done elsewhere but I was wandering if anybody had any information about the event this year or if anybody from this forum was planning to meet up etc.For those who don't know light night is when the entire city of Leeds becomes a living museum/performing arts centre. Last year I saw;*a silent disco*a free plate of curry providing you hand in your stained plate,*a showgirl in the art gallery,*light projections and a stunning photo gallery in millennium square,*Simulated stalking at the carriage works theatre*a bizarre helix staircase based on the designers dnaand a light exhibition at the university of art.Despite all this I'm told that I still missed absolutely loads of great things. This year I'm taking at least half a day off work and going to make the absolute most of it therefore any help/advice would be much appreciated.

According to the Q&A on the Holbeck Urban Village Website Light Neville Street was due to take 30 weeks from a start date of June 2008 so finishing around last Christmas. As the dark arches are still not complete the overun is now more than the original plan. T question is with Light Night http://www.lightnightleeds.co.uk/ just over a week away and the project just about complete is this part of the light night festivities.PS Glad to see that the Light Night Site has been updated for this year's events unlike Festive Leeds even if the Page Title is "Light Night Leeds 2008".

It's not just that Chris.I let anyone (within reason) use my stuff, if it's for a good cause/heritage/history/voluntary/restoration work e.t.c.I just like a little bit of manners, To be asked goes a long way in my book, not only that but it is theft, as soon as anyone clicks a camera shutter button, then that image belongs to them, and only them, there are copyright laws in place about this.

The first few times I think is a bit of an ego lift but then, there is taking advantage - as you rightly say, asking costs nowt.Next to each and everyone of our copiers at work, we have to display an 8 page document detailing what can and can not be copied in law (hard going too)Having said that, I proudly display a nightime shot along a corridor of an old building about to be demolished at my desk - every one admires it, everyone knows who and where it came from and everyone wants to see more..... and everyone grumbles about the problems photobucket are causing someone
