The route shows it going from Calverley to Woodlesford via the central area of Leeds. Thanks Leo -- I wonder whether these are suggestions for Leeds cyclists rather than routes for the race? That seems a little short for a stage to me?

Doubtless she will freeze like the rest come November.     I noticed that as I drove past this evening. The fit of the yellow jersey makes it seem that the poor dear is quite cold already!      This made me chuckle.

You are correct Barfly, they are suggested cycle routes for people to take not the actuall route of the race.it clearly states that on each phonebox.I pass them each morning so had a look the other day.

Apologies if my posts have given the impression that the routes on the phoneboxes are actual stages in the TDF. Only 'The Yellow Route' box shows a full stage (Leeds to Harrogate, via the Dales). For completion I thought I would post closer-in views of the 2 boxes that I've not yet posted. This one (taken June 27 2014) is 'The Green Route' covering Leeds to Garforth (as I've not worked out how to add more than 1 photo to a message I shall post the other photo in my next post here).

Thanks Leo, good to see. I think it was just me getting confused about the routes having not done enough research to know for certain where the tour is going.

I hope the warm weather today and forecast to get hotter, cools down for the race. If not, the climb up from Hawes on Day 1 to the Buttertubs could be particularly exhausting and also that from Blubberhouses up Kex Gill on Day 2.
