In the 1970's there was a nightclub in Eastgate, on the left hand side as you walk down from Lewises to the bus station. I seem to remember it was on three levels. It was on the row of shops just down from the Gas Board Showroom.I remember going in there after a free concert on Woodhouse Moor and the place was full of hippy types.Does anyone remember the nightclub and what is was called - are there any pictures or memories? As an aside does anyone remember the free concert on Woodhouse Moor?

Hiya, it was called Heaven and Hell. I think its a restaraunt now, it's next to Argos which was the Green Shield Stamps shop then. We used to go in the late 70's as it was a bit of a punk / alternative music club.

It was Heaven & Hell. Went there to celebrate leaving school [at 16], got howling drunk, probably on 3 pints, and chucked all over the bus coming home. Happy days!
