Hello All. I have come across some photos of my father Frank wearing a uniform which looks like an army uniform. He also worked on the railways in Leeds for 47 years until 1970 but never mentioned being in any army unit. Can anyone help me in identifying the regiment? It would have been in or around Leeds. Thanks

Although very blurred the chap on the left's badge looks like my late fathers Regiment the York and Lancaster.

My Dad never fought. He used to tell me how all the family came from a long line of cowards (I'm still one) who joined the railways so they did not have to go to war. Then he told me about driving USA troops about during WW2 giving him nylon stockings (no he didn't wear them) and big Cuban cigars
