Need some help boys and girlsNot Leeds related bu i need some help with the surname Merelew.I have an ancestor in Lythe ,early 18th century,Mary Merelew married 1708.Cannot find a baptism for her (whichisnt unusual at this time) but the only other instances of this surname,in England,is at the same church from about 1628 til about 1690'sThis is not a name i have ever come across before, and the isolted incidence of this name appearing at this church suggests that it is a mis spelling/corruption of another name.I am looking for alternative surnames for Merelew to be the corruption of.Any help/suggestions appreciated.
