When he was married he was 25 years old (wedding was 24th march 1951) when he was murdered (body found 6th june 1953 but he went missing on 31st may 1953) he was 28. Ok i think i have his birthEdward Watson, birth registeredApr -Jun 1925Selbyreference:Vol 9cpage 1735.A marriage for parents to match registeredOct - Dec 1924 Selbyreference:Vol 9cpage 1857William E Watson to Eleanor M Procter. There is only one other record of a male Watson marrying a female Procter in England and Wales, around this time and that is in 1924 in Spilsby Lincs,a Gibert Watson. They appear to have one child in Spilsby in 1925.Potential siblings are rare ,and spread around. There are some in Heslingden in Lancashire, between 1936 and 1941more close to home isJames K Watson Mother's Maiden Surname: Procter Date of Registration: Apr May Jun 1930 Registration district: Leeds North Registration county: Yorkshire Volume Number: 9b Page Number: 564 andDorothy Watson Mother's Maiden Surname: Procter Date of Registration: Oct Nov Dec 1944 Registration district: Leeds Registration county: Yorkshire Volume Number: 9b Page Number: 564 A big gap,but are some inbetween with the mothers surname Proctor (as opposed to ProctEr)Marian Watson Mother's Maiden Surname: Proctor Date of Registration: Oct Nov Dec 1932 Registration district: Leeds North Registration county: Yorkshire Volume Number: 9b Page Number: 277 Leonard Watson Mother's Maiden Surname: Proctor Date of Registration: Apr May Jun 1934 Registration district: Leeds North Registration county: Yorkshire Volume Number: 9b Page Number: 311 Im afraid the only way to know is by ordering the certificates. They can all be ordered on the GRO link i sent in the earlier message,or you can order the Leeds ones from the registry office,by phone is the best these days.
