Family History in Leeds

Many thanks for the map and cross referance, plus the email add for LCC Liits, it certainly confirms my thoughts. i'm now trying to find a pic of the Meadow Lane Methodist church now the one by the Old red Lion pub, which i know is still there, i just keep getting Christ Church photo's. dont suppose anyone of you peeps have one lurking around i could use please Weenie

Hi,My name is Jenny and I am trying to track an elusive GrGrandfather, George Beet born Tickhill 1853 and recently came upon an address in the 1871 census.in 1871 George is living in Leeds,Hunslet YKSwith his married sister at20 Derby Crescent (I know this is no longer here - Thanks Chris)Robert Sarsty 24Emily Sarsty 27Frederick A Sarsty 1George BeetI've been searching since 1981and don't even know how he got to Australia.

Have had a good look in the census,nothing about George in the UK census after 1871.Can you tell us what you do (or not)know ,and perhaps we may well be able to help a little better.

Father: George Beet Mother: Elizabeth Holmes.Can't find a Birth for him although found lots of siblings.On his marriage cert. in 1881 in Aus he says he was born 1853 - this fits with various census .Tickhill comes up a lot in certificates.I think this is why I'm so hooked on him as he is hard to track.Cheers,Jen
