If born 21/10/1928 then her death is registerded at Leeds Oct- Dec 1979 GRO ref 5 0430,(on Ancestry, non indexed)alternatively you can go to Leeds Reg office and get the death certificate.

The name is John William Lazenby who I believe was 4 yrs old on the 1911 census. This was my mothers brother ,she was born 1911.John Willy was born in Leeds and the family lived in Barkers Buildings, Burmantofts. My mother never mentioned him apart from if we heard a noise in our house in Armley when I was a kid.I would say "what was that" and she would say "It's John Willy". She never explained who he was ! He cannot have lived much after 1911 I dont think. If someone can oblige or point me in the right direction I'll be much obliged. The father would be Fred Lazenby and the mother Mary ellen Had a quick look on Free bmd, cant see anything BUT the site is only done up until 1915.You can check the full index, manually online,on Ancstry if you subscribe or you can do it on microfilm at Leeds Central Library Thanks for that cnosni. I keep saying I'll go down the library, I will one day. You are going to have along list at this rate.Any tips just ask Yeh! I know.Dont know how I'll get through them all. Just ask, really i dont mind.Learnt all this business myself, its deduction at the end of the day,but there are those in th FH world who think that they are some sort of academic and look down on people wh may not know as much as they do.Needless to say ive had some run ins with this type (no surprise) and i cant abide the attitude that some so called "part time professional " family historians take on.Were all here to help one another, its our own quest for historical research.
