G'nite BlakeyShe was/is lovely and I never understood when folks said 'Liz Taylor had looks.I can't remember but was it you who had a bad incident at Thruscross low tide? With cine film?Just covered TCDam in a what where and wondered if you'll allow us the privilege?

Yes Jogon, it was me in the incredible drought in 1995 when the old West End village could be seen once more. I think I need to put the videotape (not cine) on to flickr so as to make it available on here but I haven't a clue how to proceed. I feel a bit guilty because other Secret Leeds folks have asked before, so I will do my best just when I get time. Thanks for reminding me.

Of things I never see anymore that includes me having a winning entry (any prize!) on the National Lottery, ERNIE and Littlewoods Football Pools. It gets depressing week after week, month after month, year after year and not winning anything! I think ERNIE must have lost my numbers decades ago. How the Lottery knows which numbers I've picked I would like to know. Just who is clearly telling the footballers not to draw the games that I've selected on what I still call the Treble Chance.

I invested (sic!) 3 pounds in Premium Savings Bonds in Feb 1958 and have never had even a sniff.

If it's normal size I can convert it for you but you would have to send me the tape (obviously). I can put it onto DVD for you and then I could even put it onto youtube for you, bearing in mind you can only upload up to 15 minutes on youtube as a standard user, which I am. I would send you the tape and the DVD back. There's an email addy in my profile.

That's very kind indeed Chrism, and I have got a new machine which will convert the camera tape onto a DVD - so if I was to send you the DVD when I do it I'd be really obliged if you could put it on youtube for everyone to see. Naturally its an extremely amateurish effort and I think rather over 15 minutes (but not much) but I'll send you more details in an E mail hopefully tonight. Again many thanks, and its quite likely that such complete exposure of the village may never be seen again.As I may have said before, I took the very first load of workmen from the Leeds Labour Exchange in Bridge Street to begin the project in the first place - April 1961 IIRC.
